Northland Polytechnic, with assistance from Business Services Northland Ltd and Skill New Zealand, has developed a practical training programme building on the skills students gain through the Young Enterprise Scheme and expanding them into a 'real' business environment. Students have the opportunity to apply for funding, be partnered with a mentor and to develop their business on a full time or part time basis, while they continue their studies.
