Launched on the 21st February 2002, the Live Tall Campaign is about encouraging and recognising confidence, uniqueness and all levels of achievement in personal, vocational and community activities in the Canterbury region. Live Tall was co-created by the Canterbury Development Corporation and the Christchurch City Council.

Live Tall is a promotional campaign - an idea that has taken place to become the catalyst for an attitude change, and a focal point for people who aspire to be the best they can be, at whatever they do. Live Tall operates through 8 sectors: Art & Culture, Business, Community, Education, Health, Heritage, Sport and Me (Individuals).

The programme supports excellence, innovation and persistence.
